I’m after a bit of advice I’m a bit baffled as I’ve never had any liver issues. I have ulcerative colitis and take medication for it and apart from that im fairly healthy. (Don’t drink much probably one drink once a month) I’ve just had a baby (6 months ago) and have been feeling dizzy. (Normal for me as I have low iron) I went for some blood tests to check my iron was 13 which is high for me. The DR said my liver blood were low so needs to retest he did say my other test (unsure what it was called) was good though. So I’ve been stressing and won’t have bloods now until February so that brings me here.
Only medication I take are omperazole and mezzavant. Don’t class myself as a drinker and im overweight from having a baby. (Im one stone overweight from pre pregnancy where I had a healthy bmi so not drastic)
thanks in advance

also my symptoms which led me to get the test are dizziness and tiredness. ( I also have a bad back and pain in my stomach normal for me with UC though)
I'd be very much tempted to make an appointment with your doctor again and discuss what he/she thinks may be the issue.
It is usual to have a repeat set of bloods done to check if the results you've already had have merely been a blip or whether there is a pattern.
I am not quite sure on the description of liver bloods being low. I think i'd want a chat with doctor and a discussion as to which results were out of range and what they may indicate. Liver bloods usually flag when they are elevated.
February is a long time to wait whilst stressing and it's not going to do you any good to add stress to the mix.
Just live a normal healthy life until February, don't drink, and I am sure you will be fine (I am not a doctor but I feel pretty confident saying that - but again, not a doctor).
I will do I don’t drink much anyways it’s usually one glass every month or so. I’ve only had about 2 drinks over 14months (due to being pregnant) so drinking isn’t much a problem for me xxx
I agree with Katie but to give you some peace of mind; It seems like he would have scheduled you sooner if he would have been extremely concerned. Take care of yourself.
Thank you for the reply. He did say as the other part was normal he wasn’t worried (if it was abnormal he would sent me to the hospital straight away) it’s just baffling as what it could be xx
