Went down on to the canal for a long run and saw this run on the NRC app so Went with it. Got out early to avoid the crowds 😆 🤣 it was fairly cold but lovely and sunny. Started at luddenden foot onto Sowerby Bridge Copley and Elland before turning back and running to Mytholmroyd and then turned back again to finish the run back at the car. Had a lovely chat with a guy that was taking his Ferrets for a walk.

Two weeks to Manchester marathon now not sure if I should try another long run or start to taper?

Before I forgot I started running 1/2k and walking 1/2k before I got fed up and started running more. I was also practicing with gels etc today.

Thank you I was really happy I've had to up my game this week 1/2 marathon Tuesday and that today. My foot has been feeling better than it had been but we will see how we go over the next few days

Did you mean to post this on Fun Beyond Tessie66 ? Because you could get your Metric Marathon badge there, via this link: healthunlocked.com/marathon...

Also, fwiw, I wouldn't go adding in too much more mileage now. I know you've missed a lot of training due to the plantar fasciitis, but at this point in marathon training you'd normally be tapering.

Hoping all goes well for you!

Wow Tessie you’ve stacked up the miles all of a sudden!!! Two weeks out, taper definitely sounds like the way to go. Fun Beyond is the place for experience on this though.

Massive good wishes for the final couple of weeks before the big day. You’ve got this!!!

Definitely taper my friend. You've earned it. Hydrate well now all the way to the day itself and really look after what you eat. Marathons are super tough but feel all the better once conquered. Put a little bit of speed in one session this week, not too much...be careful but just a bit because your body needs to feel it. Then it's steady all the way. Rooting for you!

Not what you're looking for?
