Running for a reason

On Monday the reason is a mile for cappuccino & a lemon muffin.

What other incentive is there to run? 🤷‍♂️

I never thought of it like that before.....my reason to run is for fun and happiness

Running for me is all about headspace and really enjoying being fit and active. I absolutely love the feeling of pushing myself physically, especially if I’ve had a tough day. A nice cup of coffee is my standard post run treat!

This is just a Monday thing where I run from my sons college to Tesco.

Otherwise I run purely for myself, I’ve run a lot for charity but now it’s about me 😊

My rule at parkrun is, when I start the last lap I say to myself (either in my head or out loud) right you, get your butt moving, there's a latte waiting for you! It's my parkrun treat.

As well as running for cake (though I'd need to run something like 10k, never mind a mile, to come anywhere near working off a cappuccino and lemon muffin) for me there's running for trees, birdsong, views, acting like a kid, mind-clearing, feeling less blobby, and so much more.

’acting like a kid’ - that sums the enjoyment up perfectly 😀
