Saturday 5k

I've just realised I've ran 3 times in 7 days.......that's the first time I've done that since before last may/June.This morning a slow 5k, taking this week's total to 11.85k......not a high distance but for me a total win. Back in January if I ran one day it was at least a week before I ran again.

Thursday my granddaughter and I walked/ran a small part of the great Yarmouth parkrun course. Not ready for that yet.

Thanks to all here who inspire me to get out and run.

Run happy or rest well.

Lovely photo 😍and so good to read about your runs. Always remember, these baby steps get us back to where we want to be…you are doing brilliantly!🙂

Thanks Sandra, it feels so great, trouble is, once my run is over I'm sad I can't go again until the day after tomorrow, can't wait to get back to very long distances

It's a bit like the old stage performer's maxim "Always leave them wanting more." That's a really good sign you are well and truly on your way back! 😃👏👏👏

Very true, I never thought of it like that, when I was working I often ran later in the day after work, now I generally run mid morning 😁

This is fantastic news SueAppleRun . It's really good to know that you're recovering so well after all you've been through, at this rate the Parkrun will be sooner than you think :)

Thanks, I'm not sure how long it'll take to do that parkrun, I am recovering well but it could flare up again at any time so I'm making the most of being ok

Great work Sue. Consistency is key. I need to build back up to 2 or 3 runs a week. You’re an inspiration as always. Xx

Hey you inspire me and so many others, I'm loving getting out in the sunshine though, I spent so much of last year's sunny days either in bed or in hospital so I'm making the most of being able to get out xx

That is fantastic news, well done!

My running is going pretty well but most weeks I only manage two runs and then I do a fast walk on the other days. I’m working up to three runs a week as my goal!

That's brilliant, it's such a great time of year to run too isn't it?

You’ve come such a long way Sue, well done! And if parkrun isn’t on the cards just yet, you know it’ll be there when you’re ready!

I know, I'm so excited, and it's what's making me get out there and run, I've booked us an air BnB, I'm cooking dinner Friday evening, you are welcome to join us 😄 it won't be anything heavy
