Well even tho I felt like my whole body was against me after yesterday’s Strength Sesh I’m happy made it to 6K.

I could of easily bailed but the morning sun and woods was just to beautiful to head back , started off with a headband and long sleeve top under a t shirt , soon started to swelter so off I stripped in the middle of the woods to me sports bra and tied the long sleeve round my waist and off I went .

As I came across a path I had a few deer 🦌 stop look at me then trotted off I managed to get a photo of one in the distance not a great photo but a great cheering squad

Slowly learning to not give a fudge about my pace and just embrace the fact I’m getting out and hitting the trails .

Look at you go! Amazing!

You timed your training-up perfectly, hitting spring time with these fabulous distances!

I’m still doodling along 4-5k again but last year 6 k was probably my favourite distance. The year before it was 7k. So I’m hoping to follow in your footsteps and get up to 10k again!

Happy running!

I’m the same mind usually I’m at a steady 5k. But ive been getting niggly with myself just pushing a little more thinking it’s only 1 or 2 extra K so that’s round that bit and beyond so let’s do this . It’s only on a day i feel more positive that I’ll try 10K. I just become so obsessed with my 10k time knowing full year a few years ago I hit it at a fab pace and time and now im 50 and in post menopause I’m really struggling to get anywhere near that time or pace and it’s really gets to me so much so it ruins my run I tell myself off and end up bailing . Becoming a stroppy mare all day 🤣🤣

LOL. I think I am lucky that I don’t have any times to compare to, having never run before I started in my 50s several years ago.

And then I’m super slow, the Queen of Slow! I sometimes jokingly think we should have a competition to see who can run slowest and stilll run! I’m sure I might have a chance of winning! 🤣🤣🤣

we’ll done! I love reading your posts, so keep on keeping on!

Ha ha I’d be right alongside you then . I used to be a lot quicker than I am now a days since hitting 50 I’ve found it a lot harder to run but I’ve never gave up , at times when on a run I question why I bother when I’m so slow but then I realise I shouldn’t worry about my pace and I should just enjoy my surroundings on my trail runs and smile at the fact I’m off the sofa and getting some exercise.
