Abso***lutely Lush 4 Mile Trail 🏃♀️ this morning .
All be it it started off fresh I soon warmed up , uphill and downhill I even went off piste and found another path to run which was lush it took the monotony off the route I always seem to run.
Met lots of beautiful doggies about , I especially loved the Big Black Ball of Poofy Fluff Dog 🐕 I met he was such a beaut I stopped and went into coochy coochy cooo mode 🤣🤣 with my voice .
I was aiming for 10k but my body is fighting hard with me at the moment I know it’s only 3 more K but doing runs now as I age and go thru that wonderful time of being a cranky menopausal cow you have to cut it some slack and come to a mutual understanding.
It’s super hard knowing I used to do such long distances easy a year or more ago - I’ve just got to find that balance and I’ll get there .

🍏 It can be tough time but you will make it easier by continuing your runs so well done!! A 4 mile trail is a fantastic maintenance distance especially when you meet a beautiful ball of black fluff to make your day! Don’t look back! You are not going that way!! Enjoy 😊 every minute of what you are doing! It’s wonderful! ⭐️
HAa why did I read that as The Labyrinth I even did it in the voice too. lol. 🤣🤦♀️. I love that trails work me a little more means I have to dig deep and I’m using more muscles and different ones for trails just to try and stay upright . Thanks chick
Looking at the path you were running there seems to be a lot of mud. I find that this surface takes an awful lot of energy to negotiate, both mentally (better watch my step, I don't want to go flying) and physically (the gloop of the mud sucking your feet to the ground while you try and make progress).
My guess is that your age isn't the issue, it's about where you're running. Not much you can do about it if this is where you like to run just remember, you're working harder and creating body heat to keep you warm as you go, no wonder you're finding it tiring. You are actually smashing this!!
PS am I correct in guessing that you have a soft spot for cute fluffy doggies?
Indeed I do love dogs . Well all animals but this one was soo cute . Yes lots of mud about , glad my trail trainers held up well … gloopy mud is just the worst makes your feet feel higher . Ha ha . Mad a bad call running down one path as the leaves were hidden and I nearly went over. lol. I do prefer trails . Crisp mornings are the best Z I guess the woods are still sodden from Storm Bert . Thanks lovely
That’s the worst thing about the comeback-trying to put aside what you used to be able to do and embracing the progress now. Talking to myself here as well!
When you get that 10k again it’ll feel extra sweet! Great run!
You are doing great and you look so happy. I love trails and you just have to get out there and run them which is exactly what you’re doing. Of course the terrain on trails are different and sometimes you have to work that bit harder but it seems for all that extra hard work there’s not much mileage for it but who cares! You got out there and did it ! ……love it! Well done 👍🤣⛄️🎄🙋♀️
