This is a photo of my medal π₯ and T Shirt from Sunday's Great Scottish Run, it says Glasgow on the T Shirt but I think it should be Scotland

Amazing, very well done Al! πͺππππββοΈ And a very cool looking medal π π
yes think it should be Scottish run as it was the Great Scottish run. Good looking medal π₯
πLove the medal but agree with you about T-shirt! Congratulations again Al. π
Glasgow has a bad record regarding health issues Annieapple, I asked several runners yesterday where they came from?, not one lived in Glasgow including myself, I live in Cumbernauld which is 13 miles from Glasgow, several came from Edinburgh and a few others lived around 9 to 12 miles from the city, it's the same when I go to Springburn parkrun on a Saturday, I've been going to that parkrun in Glasgow for several years and have never met a runner who actually lives in Springburn, they all live in more affluent areas just outside the city, now you can understand why Glasgow despite it's lovely parks has a poor health record.
Looks really nice
Some nice bling there Al! π₯π
It is rather nice LottieMW, I now have six blings hanging on my kitchen wall which is nothing compared to some people, nevertheless if someone had told me six years ago when I graduated from C25K that I would get six medals by now I would have replied "your joking, I'am only doing those runs for exercise, not to get any medals"
Wow - well done AlMorr πππ Great Run always do fab medals and I love that T-shirt.π
Thank you AlMorr . Yes it is normal for the city of the run to be on the T-shirt. It will be interesting to see how the Great South Run T-shirt compares.
Indeed Dexy, remember that I have decided to virtually run The Great South Run on Sunday October 20th, it will be the longest run I have ran for just over a year.
Have you signed up officially to do that Al, or are you doing it to run virtually with us?
Not officially, didn't realise that there was a official virtual version, I will be running virtually with the Healthunlock C25K team
No . I havenβt seen anything either, but it will nice to have you virtually along.
PS Dexy5, my goodness me I have just noticed no less than 17 more photos of me running the last 200 metres of Sunday's run, the last 3 photos also shows my pacer under the ark on the right side of the photo, it was just at that point that she asked me to go ahead, I was with her until then, so if you want to see me again (surely not) it's there in those extra photos, BIB No. 28345
ha ha yes they take them all around the course. I hope you like them . I very rarely like my race photos . ππ. The trouble is I think Iβm a gazelle but am clearly not.
All those photos were taken within 50 metres from the finishing line, some of the later ones at the arch were taken about 300 metres from the finishing line with a glimpse of the pacer I ran with for most of the run
They look good Al!
Yes they do Oldgirlruns, are you taking part in The Great South Run or volunteering?
No, Iβm not doing the GSR this year as I havenβt really run much since last yearβs effort for various reasons. But Iβll be there as βcheerer-on in chiefβ for all my HU friends and others who are running in it! Itβs such a great atmosphere - and only a short walk from home!
That's good news that you are "cheerer-on in chief" at the Great South Run, if you also have a cowbell you can ring it continually as the runners pass, I heard plenty of them yesterday and ring one when I am a marshall at Palacerigg Country parkrun as I was in Saturday.
She is brilliant AlMorr . She appears all over the route to make sure she catches us all.
By the way Dexy5 I have just read the very latest on the GSR Facebook page that the later runners of the half marathon of the run were very disappointed regarding the lack of crowd support they got and no photos of them running at the end of their run, most people and the photographers went home, there is a lady who I know ran the HM in just under 3 hours, there are no photos of her, such a pity, however, there are no complaints from anyone who ran the 10K.
it is so sad to hear that AlMorr , and I hear it has been a problem at many of the big races. I see on the website that participants must be able to run at least 17 mins a mile, or they will need to run on the pavement while they open the roads. That is well over the 3 hour finish. It could be that most of the crowd were supporting family members who were running so they had left to join them. But the absence of photographers is not good at all. I hope she will complain.
lovely medal Al and well done! They could have sneaked a wee Saltire in the tee shirt design somewhere at least π€£
Utterly inspirational AlMorr. I'm out this morning for my trot. It will be all the better because of your positive energy. Namaste Namaka.
