Or even the hardest in the country Great Yarmouth ๐Ÿ˜.

I was doing so well on the drive up, until i wasn't....satnav dropped, I was lost, and what should have taken just under 4 hours took just over 6!!!

The second bungalow is not perfect but I felt happy when I walked in and is a 7 minute walk to the beautiful beach in my photos. I can make it a home for Parker the cat and I, and can't wait to walk down and run along, it's even got steep slopes to practice hill sprints. Apparently the beach is 3 miles end to end, so a 10k could easily be run there ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It's got a spare bedroom too so friends can visit ๐Ÿ˜ฏ. I might even let them play with the garage door, you press a button and it goes up and down with no effort ๐Ÿคฃ

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who commented on yesterday's post , it was a bit of a surprise for me ๐Ÿ˜ I've been encouraged and inspired by each and every one of you.

Run happy or rest well xx

That is a cracking promenade to run along! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

It is, I walked along there this morning and my legs were itching to run but I'd had a full English breakfast in the hotel and wanted to get home, it was lovely there and so quiet, it'll be busy during summer, I'll have to get up early.

Just grand... well done to you and what a lot to look forward to, with those lovely runs ahead and along that Promenade! Plus a garage door to play with!

I am so pleased for you x

The garage door made me giggle, I wasn't expecting a garage, let alone a double one with an electric door! Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet xx

Oh what fun! Well maybe a store of sorts in one side :)

It could house a treadmill for when it's bad weather ?

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduate in reply to dijep

Not sure I want another treadmill, and anyway it's got a spare bedroom and a conservatory for any equipment I might need ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

dijep profile image
dijepGraduate10 in reply to SueAppleRun

I don't blame you for that. My soon bought one and I tried it a couple of winters ago when it was really icy .. I wasn't a fan !

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduate in reply to dijep

I bought one years ago, the idea was my husband would walk on it, he set it up in front of the TV and with glass of scotch in hand walked for 20 minutes, he got a blister and never went on it again.....I used it a lot because it was expensive and it moved out with me, now I'd much prefer to be outside though

dijep profile image
dijepGraduate10 in reply to SueAppleRun

That sounds very much like me buying a exercise bike (apart from the scotch) It ended up being used as a clothes hanger for years .. The scotch may have made it a better experience? ๐Ÿ˜„

Well, Iโ€™ve just read your yesterdayโ€™s post and am wondering how weโ€™re going to fit โ€˜that runโ€™ in before you leave us! Iโ€™m sad to think youโ€™re leaving our bit of coast but can understand that pastures may be calling. I hope you manage to find a home - exciting times ahead for you Sue!

Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re staying near the coast.. I think youโ€™re still about 4 or 5 hours away from me though.. why is Great Yarmouth the hardest park run? Gorleston seafront looks a great place to run.

You donโ€™t need a perfect bungalow..? imperfections mean you can change things and put your own stamp on it/make it your own (and Parkerโ€™s). Lots to look forward to there.

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduate in reply to PeggySusi

Great Yarmouth is all run on soft sand, I tried it yesterday and didn't last long before I was walking again.Yes I can make it mine, it's going to be a wrench leaving here but it'll be new beginnings and I think long term that'll be good

aaah Sue, just catching up with your posts! Wishing you a belated happy runniversary ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’•

Well Iโ€™ve missed the boat with a South coast run with you, never managed a prolonged stay with my daughter to fit one in, and now youโ€™re off to pastures new with Parker ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›

How exciting for you though, that looks a fab place to run, and looking forward to more moody seascape photos from you ๐ŸŒŠ

Hope the move isnโ€™t too stressful!

Happy running ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’•

Doesn't time fly? The weeks pass and things we'd hoped to do or talked about doing are pushed to a future that gets further away until something changes and something's unlikely to happen. Thanks for the good wishes Lottie ๐Ÿ˜Š

So glad you've found your new home. That coastal run looks fab. Living just about as far away from the sea as you can get in this Country, I always love running coastal paths on holiday. All the best with your packing and moving. It will be an emotional time but a brand new start - and a new park run! ๐Ÿ˜˜

SueAppleRun profile image

Thanks, having lived within walking distance to the beach for 40 years it feels like something I need to do, I'm thinking of volunteering at parkrun to get to know a few people, not sure yet, all parkruns seem to be getting faster and I'm getting slower

Bruch1 profile image
Bruch1 in reply to SueAppleRun

Volunteering is a great way to get to know the people and the feel of the course as well. You could always volunteer as Tailwalker, that way you get to chat, walk and get your barcode swiped. Every time you volunteer counts towards your volunteers milestones too. I haven't tailwalked but have been a marshal a few times and enjoyed it. I'm getting slower too but trying not to get too hung up on the numbers and just enjoy the fresh air and company. Go for it ...!

SueAppleRun profile image
SueAppleRunGraduate1060minGraduate in reply to Bruch1

I tailwalked once and had to run a bit to keep up but have enjoyed marshall and if I do it a few times I'll get to know other runners

Wow, it will be a bold move. What drew you there? I had it in my head, possibly incorrectly , that your daughter and grand daughter were quite close by where you are now so I wasnโ€™t expecting it to be that radical .

Adventures new and exciting if challenging runsโ€ฆ. Looking forward to hearing all about it.

SueAppleRun profile image

We are all moving ๐Ÿคฃ, and will still be in walking distance of each other, oh apart from summer when my granddaughter will be in China!!! But she'll be back by autumn.I'm trying to look forward to it, at the moment I'm full of doubts but once there I'm sure it'll be fine

JeremiahObadiah profile image
JeremiahObadiah in reply to SueAppleRun

Ah, that explains it. I was pondering on the whole notion. All moving together sounds a good plan.

I can understand your concerns but a place can become home with some effort -physical and mental. And a whizzy garage door sounds the business! !
