My Tuesday run was ‘one of those’! My legs seemed to take longer than usual to wake up and the wind and freezing rain kicked in after about 10 mins.🏃‍♀️☔️ I hadn’t expected this so wasn’t wearing a cap and returned home looking very wet and bedraggled and to comments of, “Oh, did you get a bit wet?”😡😂

Have been slightly under the weather with a cold since but feeling much brighter today, headed out for my ‘speed work’😉 this morning. I do this on a local football pitch. After a warm up, I run diagonals with recovery breaks in between, before finishing with a cool down jog. 4 k in total. I really enjoyed this session today and just wanted to share the runners high I felt afterwards!😁 I don’t know if this came from pushing myself a little more than usual, or just that I feel better after the cold but I felt so happy and incredibly grateful to be able to run and what this body can still do (sometimes!)🤣

I am sure others on here feel the same and I think the quote sums up that feeling well.

Happy running all!🙂🏃‍♀️🏃🏽

That really does sum it up perfectly. Yesterday I went up a steep part of the Downs with my very tall granddaughter, I was puffing hard then thought of the 2 men in my life who would love to walk up there, both have in the past so I know they would wish to be me yesterday. Willow who is no longer here and my ex husband who had extensive heart surgery a week and a half ago and is still laying in ITU unable to do anything. So yes, let's all be grateful that we can run! 😁

Wonderful. From my perch on the edge (hopefully) of the IC, I have to agree with you.

And when we get to run, we are indeed fortunate 🥰

Yes, as dear friends suffer what life is throwing at them at the moment, I am grateful that my health enables me to run at will. You just never know what is around the corner, so make the most of it while you can.

Oh, I identify with that Sandra; you have another 13 years before you reach my age…so you have plenty of highs in store. 🙂
