Thanks to Β Β CBDB , who mentioned this challenge a few days ago. ππ Me and hubby signed up to the Guildford runs, in a bid to discover new local run routes but also to make us run together occasionally!π€£
Out for the first of our six runs - this one was a 6k trail through woodland and heathlandβ¦and with a bit more undulation than I was expecting! π₯΅π€£I have walked here many years ago but it was great to explore as a βtrail runnerβππ.
What3Words can be used to guide you to the start of the route (if needed) after which the Rungo app takes over with its tracker and audio description. This guided us easily along the many paths, tracks and bridleways - definitely a great way to explore and enjoy new routes! The photo was taken midway during the run, on a very welcome downhill section!
First run logged - now to decide which one of the remaining five routes to try nextβ¦π€π

it looks like some big logging vehicles have carved their way along that route Sandra. I hope it wasnβt too muddy for you. I think we have been lucky to avoid the worst of storm Kathleen this weekend, but that looks a good run to avoid the wind .
Happy pioneering on the next run with hubby. πββοΈππ»
Wow, that scenery looks great! Do you get a lot of info before you run about the route or is it more just follow along as you go? It sounds like it worked for you today!
Yes, you can view the routes and also look at a written version of the audio description. I clearly didnβt look at the elevation!π€£ I should have taken more pics tooβ¦note to self for next time!π
