Ran 5k tonight and if I'm honest it was hard work tonight and I know why a weekend before Easter drinking and eating anything then last week a week off work decorating but having a heavy night Thursday. Done this before so it's getting the hard yards in before everything returns to normal and I feel comfortable running again 😌 also I ran the tough local parkrun course but that's not an excuse

I know how you feel. I have an absolute love/hate relationship with running. When I’m out of shape and I have taken a week or two off from running I hate how it becomes so hard and takes so long to build it back up again. But I also love how when you put in the miles, tempo runs, long runs, intervals etc and you start to feel stronger you are rewarded with a natural high after a run. I love running and pushing myself at a parkrun and doing better than the week before. I love how a great run will leave me feeling great for a week. But like you, a few nights out and 1-2 weeks without running will completely destroy my hard work. 😓

Totally but I know give it a week or two body will adjust and be feeling great again, going to slimming world this week as well to help me lose just the few lbs as well this really helps me and stops me eating and drinking rubbish I was a target member before so it's all about maintaining your weight then

Snap. I’m also going to Slimming World. I put on a Covid Stone and gained an extra stone just for good measure. At the end of October I started going to Slimming World. Not sure if I’m properly following the plan, I’m just eating 3 meals per day and I gave up bread. But I’m almost there, 5-6 lbs to get to healthy BMI goal. I’ve lost 25 lbs so far. As the weight has dropped I’ve found running is more enjoyable. My aim is to get to goal and keep going so as to stay at goal.

I'm 12,2 so I'm going to look at getting down to 11 1/2. I went under 11 before but makes me to skinny. Good luck my friend

I started at a weight of 13st 9lbs. I’m now at 11st 13 lbs. My goal is 11st 7lbs.

So same as you, 11 and a half is my goal. Good luck to you too.

It's a really good weight. Pile your plate with veg and brown small slices instead of white if you want bread. Fish sticks are really good
