That was good!

Well that was better!

I have a mental block when trying to run for 30 minutes, I know I can do it, but I’m forever doubting myself.

Then I read in this forum that someone suggested running for 10 minutes, then walking for 1 minute, repeating this 3 times

So, I did this today & it worked! I had a nice easy run, even sped up toward the end, & didn’t feel totally shattered!

I was slow mind you, 7:44/km, but just so glad it was better than I thought it could be & feel ready to run this again, adapting as I go.

I love this forum, it gives me hope & confidence to keep running, ( which I love)

I started running 3 years ago when I retired.

Oh I am sure you could go slower than that if you really tried (I always do!)

Brilliant - well done you 👏

Pace is all relative - that’s really fast as far as I’m concerned 🤣 Now I’m really a snail 🐌 but love what I do which is the main thing 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃‍♀️

great job!

I often have to find ways to out-smart my mental blocks! My most recent one when I am trying to wriggle out of a run has been to tell myself that I will just do 5 mins and see how I feel… I inevitably feel ok and keep going! 🤣

Just do what you need to do to keep going. I bet soon you’ll ditch the minute walking 😉
