Good to be back out there with 12K

So, i was a little bit out of sorts for the last couple of weeks.

thank you everyone for your best wishes , it is appreciated πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

my sleep has been improving over the last few days and i have been trying to get my head in the right place .

Thanks to regular self hypnosis and subliminal messages i had got myself wanting to run again !

Yes, Wanting too !! and that was the crucial thing .

so, with a weather window this morning and no planned work until this afternoon, i decided i would run .

i had absolutely no idea as to how far i was going to run , i just wanted to enjoy it .

within the very first minute i felt great, such relief to be running again !

i decided not to watch my pace , it really wasn't important i just wanted to run .

i got to 1k then 2 and 3 and felt so relaxed and comfortable so decided i would carry on to 5K.

there is a turning i could take around 4.5k that would get me close to home at 5K

when i got there i decided to just run straight past it and carry on as i was still feeling fresh and relaxed .

my next thought was 6 or 7 and then these just came and went and i was still feeling good so decided i would carry on to 10K

still feeling good and when i next looked at my watch i had done 10.3K

so that was it ! i thought about how i felt, my legs were getting a little tired now but that was all, no problems so thought ok i'll do 12K and then stop .

i did the last 2K very close to home in case i felt i needed to stop but all was good !

i was tiring but thats all.

so 12K completed and the Strava October 10K challenge done on day 1 😬

warm down stretches done and porridge eaten 😊

a nice cup of tea in a relaxing bath will be next ! 😬

Just had to take a minute out to reply to you.

So pleased you are back out there and enjoying your running again. That is the important thing πŸ˜€πŸ‘

You can see from the map you were a bit undecided as to how far you were going to run, but great that you didn't have the pressure of time😁

Congratulations on the October Challenge, and on day 1 πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Maybe I should sign up to that since I'm doing B2TK πŸ€”
