5k continuous run! Tadaa!!!

Finally did my 5k run, after finishing my Runkeeper 5k plan last weekend.

As I didn’t reach 5k in the 35 minutes last weekend, I knew it would take me a few more runs to get there.

Knowing it was a bit of a jump in distance, I took it really slow, afterwards being chuffed to see that I stayed in Heart Rate Zones 1 to 3, and not swerving into 4 or 5 as I often do.

The whole run also felt great! Slowly joggling along, listening to a podcast, passing all sorts of milestones, from my fairy house with a little commemoration, the little hill at the turn-back turn, the allotments….

I only stopped under a tree to wait for a hail shower to pass, but otherwise it felt as I could run continuously and forever! I’ve found my happy zone!

Happy weekend running, everyone!

Sounds dreamy! My last runs have felt hard but been busy lots of hefty gardening and decorating 🙃 but know the runs will get better peaks and troughs …..
