Not quite a new shoe post, but rather an old-patched-up shoe post!
I patched the hole in my Altras, so I hope they’ll go strong for another year or so!
So yesterday I took them out, newly patched (after a 48 hour drying period).
We’ll see how they go,
As the pic depicts, I still sometimes get a very tight calf muscle on my left, which can lead to niggles, which has in the past led to calf strains. The compression sleeve helps,
And the leggings I’m mightily proud of, not because I’m a football fan. I’m not. But because I don’t care about the design, only functionality, as they are side-pocket active leggings usually 4 times pricier but I bought them in sales for 10 pounds. And I’m at the stage where (branded) looks just don’t matter and function is everything! And everyone loves a bargain right, even if it means wearing tiny footballs and whistles on your leggings?
Happy running, everyone and may your shoes last, and running wear bargains stay plentiful!

Yeah, I think ever since I got my first pocket leggings, i know how good they are. They are just often so much more expensive, and much less often on sale. So in the past I only could get the least popular designs with pockets to a reasonable price. Non-pockets I could get my preferred designs but no pockets. It’s a balance act between functionality and beauty! Sooo difficult! (Runner problems) 🤣🤣
Like the leggings. I am a footie fan. The pocket part for me , I have sweaty Betty and feel the phone slips so just wear a belt around my waist. Think that’s the weak part on the altras , mines haven’t got through there yet, surprised they haven’t but wouldn’t be without them now. Hope your patch stays on.
I was going to run from school drop off the other day, but realised I'd forgotten my belt and carrying both phone and car keys would be a major faff - and a danger to my shoulder due to the distortion it'd cause to my running. SO I came home and ran on streets and around the park.
... and so say all of us...love the patch and the leggings... I have discovered a Charity shop in a nearby town... where one of the volunteers assistants is a runner... she donates all her unwanted gear...not my size unfortunately... but my daughter's size!!!
I got my daughter a pair of the winter weight Sturdy by Design leggings.. £2.50!!! Unmarked and like new after washing! Bargains galore...
Wow! What a find! I could do with finding some runners charity shops! Well, I probably don’t need anything anymore, but a runner’s secondhand charity shop sounds like heaven!
