Quick run through gloomy clouds this morning, with post-run stretches on return outside the house.
I was running with my old, cheap no-name Aldi shoes, that have been a good fallback options when my running shoes were out of action.
Out of action, my beloved 0-drop Altras were drying, as I fixed the hole that started to appear in the toe area of my right shoe. The left has already been patched some months ago, so my Altras now feature two colour coordinated patches in the toe box area. Nobody will ever know, right!? 🤣🤣
I’m hoping this will provide more longevity to these shoes, although Runkeeper tells me that they are at their end if their lifespan. But my logic is that, as 0-drop shoes do not have much padding or bounce, there is not much that can get old, so as long as holes are patched, and the fabric stays flexible, it should be ok.
The fixing kit that I used is from a small family business that sends out these little kits, also for running clubs, recommended by someone here, so thank you! (pairups.co.uk)
Happy running, everyone!
