A very happy new year run!

There is magic when everything comes together on the 1st of January: for me the magic was there this morning! And it was because of my morning run!

The sun was shining!

The dog walkers and families were out in droves, and we made each other that bit happier with every new-year-greeting that we expressed. Just seeing so many happy walkers and runners out and about, smiles all around, hope and joy!

This was the morning after a joy-full and chatty Hogmanay dinner party with friends, raclette, haggis, potatoes and cheese and our kids (sorry, young adults) also reconnecting and chatting about their first years of uni and leaving home life.

Our guests had left before breakfast because of work obligations, but the plus for me was that it gave me time to squeeze in a run this morning! (We’re off to another gathering of friends in the early afternoon)

My health felt good, no after party hangover or tiredness, we had slept in a bit later than normal, which also helped.

So the run was a brilliant energising way to start the year.

happy new year CBDB …sounds like the perfect start to the year!! And I absolutely love raclette..we have a big one that we had out on Sat evening…

I love opposite our local park and I have to say there are loads of families wandering about m, kids on their shiny new bikes squealing with delight…looking forward to my first run as soon as the window of opportunity arrives!!

Sounds wonderful all round. A Happy New Year with lots of wonderful running too. I started the New Year with a fab and sunny parkrun. Set me up in the right frame for the week 🏃‍♂️

Happy New Year! Doggie and hubby forest walk sounds great! It did cloud over during the rest of the day. But so glad I went!
