My head is buzzing with all the info available online about running socks! Who knew. This running malarkey is fertile ground for obsessives like me to become even more fixated on matters "comfort" and "feet". I will never pay Β£15 for a pair of socks. Yes Β£15 π However really pleased with my Β£10 for 5 pairs, 58% merino wool nordic socks, which kept my feet toasty running in -1Β° today in sunny but nippy Scotland. Someone said early days in this journey "its about so much more than the running πββοΈ π§¦ππΎββοΈπ§¦ππΎββοΈπ§¦

Toasty feet in cold weather is such a nice feeling!
I bought Balega Hidden Comfort socks after some cheapie ones gave me a massive blister. Β£12.95, I had to close my eyes when I clicked 'pay'.
More than two years later, having been worn and washed several times most weeks, they are still the most comfortable socks I've ever worn. You get what you pay for.
PS they are now only Β£11.91 on Amazon. It says 'pack of two' which apparently refers to the fact you get a left and a right foot. Yeah right....
I could have sworn they were merino but apparently they aren't. They do however wick moisture away and keep your feet warm and dry even if you step in a puddle. Gotta have comfy feet. Good luck with your bargain buy, if they are as good as you hope maybe post a link?
Thanks for this. Good to know Balega are as good as they say they are. It was the hidden comfort I was looking at. So as not to go back on my commitment to never paying that money for socks - will put them on my Xmas list. Admittedly Β£11.91 sounds a more attractive option π€ Will post on the state of my bargain socks in 6 months ππββοΈπ§¦
