I am at week 6 of the Magic Plan. Today I ran 9k for the first time in a little over an hour. This is the longest I have ever run continuously for. The last 2 times I did a 10k were about 7 and 17 years ago and I completed them in just under an hour. So I am older, yes, heavier, yes, and have turned to running to rehabilitate a significant knee injury. I started with C25K in Jan, but I’ve really seen the benefits of all this in lockdown - not only physically (and yes, very gradually the weight is coming off, and my shape has certainly changed) but running has given my weeks on furlough a structure. I cannot believe I am only 1k away from that 10k goal...
9k - tick!: I am at week 6 of the Magic Plan... - Bridge to 10K
9k - tick!
Fantastic effort and a great time for 9k when at this stage in your journey. Great that you are seeing weight loss, often inches change too although we are always geared up to stand on the scales. Brilliant that running has given you structure during furlough, hopefully you will get back to work soon but also continue happy running 🤗
Wow that is a great time! I'm now on the same plan after having completed the timed version of running for 60 mins. My 10k will take a good deal longer than yours but it will be just as sweet. Not long for you to go now!
Amazing! So close to that target. I hope you continue to enjoy it to 10k and beyond!
Great achievement and focus onwards to the 10k you’ll smash it 👍👏🎉
Fantastic - great effort! You should be proud of that time too. Good luck with the final runs!!!
