Hit snooze twice and very nearly didn’t go out but leapt out of bed at 6.30am - my OH muttered “I’m really proud of you “ as he rolled over and continued to snooze. 💤 Off out at 6.45am. I do like this time of day best - no matter the weather.
Read something this week - can’t remember where but it was about breathing through the nose and how it helps joggers keep heart rate down. Thought I’d give it a try although I forgot a few times as I enjoyed the calm of the marina with birds swooping and soaring, My run did feel somewhat easier and at the end of 30mins I felt like I could carry on quite easily - perhaps there’s something in it ? Time will tell with longer runs scheduled for next week.
Don’t see half as many people on my route as I used to - just 3 runners, well 2 because I saw the same lady twice, 2 dog walkers and a power walker who sped past me at the end of my run 🤣 Has anyone else noticed fewer people around ?
All in all a very good outing and yes - I’m proud of me too 💪
Run happy or recover well and have a good weekend whatever you do.
BTW - anyone in the hunt for RED October ?

Oh what a run, what a feeling! I shared in this with you this morning on my run. I did do some deep breathing through the nose on my fast warm up walk but not tried it on a run… Lovely run! Well done enjoyed your post!
Was only joking about RED - no way I could run 31 days on the jog 😉 good luck with op - nuisance but I know you’ll do as you are told and a few weeks of walking in the autumn air will do you the power of good - look forward to your reports
Thank you - think I may repeat Ju Ju’s distance plan (again). Quite like the structure of it to gradually build up distance without having to think too hard about any of it. This time I want to concentrate on posture and “nose breathing” and as for speed … I genuinely don’t mind 🙂
Only done a couple of 10k so would be good to get a few more under my belt … eventually 🏃♀️
