Another 25 minutes, 5 minute warm up, 20 minutes steady run. I went the opposite way to yesterday, heading towards the sea. up and over the railway bridge, it's short and a bit steep but I can run it now, I still remember when I'd get half way and walk the rest. Looking in gardens, all the pretty flowers, past the fig tree but they aren't ripe yet.
Turn and back, the railway bridge isn't quite so steep this way but it's longer, gentle steady pace.
Turn right, past lavender and roses and keep going until I'm almost home drop to a walk, stop the watch.
Pick a few strawberries from my front garden and eat them as I feel the sun on my shoulders.
Quick stretch, cup of tea, bath, put the washing on and out for walk in the park with a friend and her dogs.
The photo, my hydrangea, so many different colours on one bush, I've taken cuttings for the front garden for next year.
Run happy or rest well.

Hydrangeas are doing well. I always love your photos, I know the area a bit. Glad you had a good run today, enjoying your surroundings. I find 25 minutes is a nice length.
I'm just playing at the moment, I often go too fast and have to take walk breaks so I've slowed it down so I can keep running for longer. Thank you, I didn't even realise I like hydrangeas until the other week I picked a few for indoors, all the different colours fascinate me, I suspect if we didn't have alkaline soul this one would be blue
A lovely run and satisfying to be able to run up that hill 🏃♀️ (singing Kate Bush?!!). Aren't hydrangeas interesting - mine are blue and pink this year and very intense. I never liked them but they are growing on me now - all the different shapes you can get too.
Oh yes Kate Bush, a good song, I've always known I don't much like hydrangeas but I'm falling in love with them this year, I think the cuttings may have rooted too.
🍏Definitely a girl after my own heart!! I love that rose peeping through the hydrangeas…glorious colours & gorgeous photos! I certainly “ran” with you on this one.. loved the descriptions & joining in with the strawberries 🍓 Hope you had an equally happy park walk with your friend! 💗
The park was lovely thank you and we walked a bit, talked a bit, sat while her dogs meandered around, they are all mid teens, went and had a look at my favourite apple tree and picked up a couple of windfalls each. Very enjoyable. I feel a few roses amongst the hydrangeas breaks up their roundness.
Sounds glorious down there! How can you NOT enjoy a run 'heading towards the sea'? Good that you've slowed your pace in order to run further. Perhaps this is the way to go 🤔
Another lovely run there Sue! Well done and those hydrangeas are amazing. How do they get so many colours? Mine are always pink or blue if I put salt in the soil.
I haven't a clue Brian! It's a strange phenomenon that I've cut them back in spring and ignored them the rest of the time, people around me were heard to mutter "awful plants, old fashioned" this year I've noticed all the colours and picked them, they last a good week indoors, and because I'v been a bit rubbish at looking after them the bush is nearly as tall as me and covered in flowers, and blue next to pink next to almost white. I've taken cuttings and if they have the same variations I'll save you one. As to the run, I'm in a slump but listening to running podcasts and getting some ideas.
