Peanut cookies

A very full on day but I really wanted to get motivated to go for a run. I’d intended to yesterday but talked myself out of it!

So, late afternoon I read a few postings on HU, to get some inspiration, pulled on my kit and off out the door. After a brisk 5 minute walk I was off at a decent pace. I have a favourite route that goes along beautiful footpaths and through a park, so I followed this. Keeping an eye on timings I turned after about 17-18 minutes and doubled back.

It’s a busy path and lots of people smile and encourage me, which I always appreciate!

When I got back home I’d managed around 4.5K, so some good training ready for the park run on Saturday again.

Thanks to so many of you for the encouragement!

Absolutely fantastic-those runs we can’t really be bothered to get on with (you know the phrase I’d use in real life to describe them is a bit ruder!!) are so satisfying when we get them done. You deserved your cookies 🍪 🍪 !!!

Enjoy parkrun!
