yesterday I had set an alarm and woke at 6.00am planning to run but I had the worst headache which took me most of the day to shake off so decided not to. I was well hydrated and hasn’t been out in the sun so no idea why.
Today I thought I’d try again, and although I’d woken about 5/6 times in the night I felt fairly good so up and out the door by 6.30. For a few seconds that was that lovely chill on the skin of my arms but it didn’t last long once I was moving. I wore racer back tee and shorts so I was pretty comfortable anyway. I set off walking and after 5 mins I went to start my music and realised that although I had made a point of synching my headphones with my phone….I’d left them home, so I just put my phone on low and popped it in my Flipbelt. I just wanted to hear the beat and when to walk.
There was hardly anyone about so I wasn’t going to be annoying anyone else with my music . I set off planning to do 4 x 10 mins with 1 min walks between but then felt good so carried on for the full hour and did 7k. I ran the far side of the river that I usually run, then doubled back round and ran alongside the usual side and then round and finished up along the River Yeo around the park. The tide was really high this morning … probably to do with last nights SuperMoon. There were a couple of people jogging round the park but they were the only ones I saw bar 2 others going the other way early on.
It was lovely, calm and peaceful … almost like lockdown running ( I actually miss that!!) and I am back now and ready for what the day may bring .
Happy running 😁
