Carpal tunnel

was about to start working up to 10k from 5 but carpal tunnel surgery came up. Anyone had this done and how long before you started running again? Surgeon suggested leave it a month as could be quite uncomfortable. 8 days post-op and I still can't tie my own shoelaces, or even imagine getting into a sports bra - these are the things I hadn't considered🤣

My husband has had this done and, although he wasn’t a runner at the time, he returned to exercise within about 10 days but he didn’t have to put on a sports bra!

Everyone’s recovery is different and I’m sure it won’t be too long before you can run.

All the best for a full recovery and a return to running 🍀

As your name says tiny steps …..for the moment anyway. Try to enjoy your recovery by thinking about your wonderful 10k race next June you’ve signed up for and know that by then you’ll have completed loads of runs by that time. . Your recovery maybe quicker than others we are all different.

You be out and about before you know it I’m sure👍😂😂.

Speedy recovery.👍🥰

thanks, I am trying to remember to do stretches and squats daily instead so I'll be ready to start again but unsurprisingly keep forgetting😂
