After graduating C25K when is good to start Ju-Ju’s plan?

Hello just wondered what other people did after graduating C25K. Should I spend another 3 weeks or so doing consolidation 30min runs and then after that start Juju’s/Bridge to 10K plan or will that be too soon? Would like to eventually get up to 10K but having only just graduated C25K (and can run a 5K in 38mins) wouldn’t want to do it too soon. Thanks!

Relax and enjoy 5K x 3 times per week. Register with Parkrun and enjoy running 5K for the summer. Get used to 5K and get comfortable at 5K before moving on. Give yourself 3-4 months of 5K first.

I’m running 2 years now since C25K and waited a year before I attempted my first 10K. I’ve only done 10K twice this year. I much prefer 5K and I adore Parkrun.

Enjoy running first, just learn to run and enjoy it first before moving onto longer distances.

But that is just my personal opinion. Others may think differently.

Thank you so much this sounds like solid good advice! I will do just that and just enjoy doing 5Ks at the moment and Park Runs.

I did my first 10k 7 months after starting couch to 5k. I found that I got a few niggles after my second 10k and have since spent time on strengthening exercises prescribed by my physio who also undid a few knots in my calves. I am now working up to my third 10k and I am much stronger. I will run that 10k just about a year since I started running....so maybe damienair is right....spending a bit longer building up leg strength may be better than plunging straight in like I did.🤕😊

Thanks for this and glad you are all better now. I will hold off a while I think before 10K.
