I graduated c25K a few weeks ago and have been lurking on this forum for some time looking at various plans etc. After reading everything I decided to give the long run a go this week and did 6 Kms today. Not continuous running though...I did it with run:walk intervals...doing 10Min:1Min ratio and according to strava...did 6.1K in 40:52.
Runkeeper didn't agree...Said I still needed 150 meters for 6K but I decided to ignore it...
Anyone else doing run/walk thing for long runs in this forum?

I do most of my long runs with run/walk. 1 minute walk every 5 minutes. I've done a half marathon like that and most of my weekend runs are on that basis. My mid-week runs are non-stop (anything between 4 and 7k). I don't want to lose the ability to run non-stop!
I am in a similar situation, wasn’t sure what to do after graduating so I’ve spent the last couple of weeks re-doing week 9. I have now downloaded a new app for 10K and started it on weds with my first run been exactly what you did 10x4 with 1 min walking in between, it defiantly tested me but it seems like a good progression. Have a good day!
I'm at this stage too and felt I needed the structure of another program after C25K, sounds like we're using the same app. I also use the NHS COUCH TO 5k+ podcasts if I need a shorter run.
Based on your replies run/walk seems ok. I shall continue doing my shorter runs as runs while using the long run as run/walk to increase the distance/time.
