10K Race

Hi,

I'm looking for advice please, I finished C25K on the 21st May and have been running 3 times a week since, gradually upping the distance. 9 days ago I ran 9.1K but was then ill for a few days so have only done a 4.2k and 5.4K since.

I have a 10K on the 9th July in 13 days, I will be running 3 times a week but I'm wondering what distances I should be doing? I want to be fit enough (average pace is around 6.45 per K) but don't want to injure myself - I've just got back from the physio after being treated for tight hip abductors 🤦‍♀️

Many thanks 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Hi Menopausalruuner just read your post and I thought maybe you would be interested in this 10k training plan.

This is the website and it has beginners, intermediate and I think advanced training plans. Take a look and I hope it helps. It’s quite easy to follow. I followed it and I thought it was great.

Good luck and let me know how you get on👏😀😀

there’s a training plan in here called JuJu magic plan 🙂

I followed Bridge to 10k with Sami Murphy, the link to which I found on HU. Brilliant stuff! Free original music too.

Or now there’s the free Nike Run Club app with all its guided coached run plans

Take it steady and enjoy those runs 🙂👍
