How do you switch off tracking walks in Nike Run Club?

Hello, Does anyone know how to switch off tracking walks in NRC? I only want it to track my runs for the NRC challenges not my walks. I'm using an iPhone.

Hi!

I can’t see anything in settings…I thought it might be like Strava, where you can log the actual activity.

So… 2 options…first, just don’t activate NRC when you’re out for a walk. Second…just delete it.

Hmmm…question is then, why are you activating it, unless it’s their (only) 2 guided walks? I only turn on NRC when I’m starting a guided run…and after any warm up walking?

Hope this helps 🙂

Hi LottieMW thanks for coming back to me but I'm afraid that doesn't help. I don't switch on or activate NRC when I just go for walks and neither are my walks listed under the activity tab in NRC. However, when I join a NRC challenge the app seems to be totalling up my walks as well as my runs whereas I just want it to take into account my runs as they are specifically run challenges. If anyone knows how to sort this I will be truly grateful! 🤗

Can you give an example of a challenge? You may need to contact Nike…

Thanks  LottieMW an example of a challenge would be under the club tab in the nrc app eg then join a challenge: may 100k challenge (run 100 kilometres this month - 24 days left)

I think I know what the issue is though. I have allowed my garmin activities to sync with nrc and for some reason it is reading my garmin walking activites are runs. I don't know what to do as I don't want to unsync my gramin from nrc!

Ah! That thought had occurred to me…I had a similar problem with 1) Fitbit and Strava…and 2) in a separate issue, the activity rings on the iPhone health app.

You may get away with just synching it one way…My Fitbit reads my Strava details, so I get an activity graph like the picture. However, when I tried to get *Strava* to read my Fitbit (I was trying to get a heart rate read out on Strava), everything ended up duplicated! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m quite confused by this too-unless you press “start” on either a guided run or quickstart, the app shouldn’t record anything. If you don’t record your walks, I can’t see how it knows you’re walking!

Do you mean when you go for a run, it also records walking sections?

Thanks MissUnderstanding I think I know what the issue is. I have allowed my garmin watch activities to sync with nrc app and for some reason it is reading my garmin walking activities are runs.
