Garmin Forerunner 235 trouble

My Garmin was showing the wrong time and date today, couldn't get it to reset so manually changed the time, but it still thinks it is yesterday! Have tried resetting the watch and turning it and my phone off and on. Now it won't pair with my phone either.I wonder if it has reached the end of its life...I've had it about 5 years but didn't use it for 3 years when I stopped running due to injury.

Just wondering how long these things generally last for? Anyone had one longer than that?

I don't know how long a Garmin should last, but what I can say is that when I had a problem with mine I phoned their helpline and they were very helpful. May be worth a try?

Another vote for their helpline. They sorted me out and were very patient with my lack of tech understanding

Have you connected to the satellite? That's usually where a watch gets the time/date info from...whenever I go abroad I connect as soon as I can to get the right time...

I had this happen a couple of times when I had the 735, what I had to do was set it to Run and leave it to get a GPS lock, sometimes it took 30 minutes, sometimes 3 minutes.

It would be fine for months and then happen again.

I had that 735 for over 5 years until it died in Egypt last year, I replaced it with a 745 which seems much better.

No problem, always happy to help, if possible.

I found the 735 would revert at the most inopportune times, like when I was working in London and heading for St Pancras station for the train home, no GPS signal on the tube.
