Hi Sola, I have a little quote (all my own it should be on a tee shirt, Maybe one day!!!)This is for free.
Sola remember "Every Run is a gift
Every walk is a miracle"
How many people do you know would love just to be able to walk 5k never mind run it!
If you can run even for a minute embrace how luckey we are to be able to do it, I do every single time I start to run and I thank my God and the universe for the honour and privilege to be able to do so.
My beautiful brother is currenty undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma and i dedicate every run to him. He could walk for miles but not now every step is an effort we are so blessed those who can run no matter how slow or fast. We are a funny lot us humans we love to beat ourselves up just because a run does'nt go as we hoped. For me tomorrow I will run for 1.5 hours and cover about 8 mile through the countryside ( I am blessed!!)
I graduated 12 years ago when I was 49 and took up running again about 7 months ago inspired by Ran Fiennes (A long story) and my brother who spent 2 months in hospital.
Sola. enjoy every run and have a great life!!
Sending my best wishes

This has always been my philosophy. It's the answer I give to people who turn their nose up at my running (so many people seem to have an opinion on others lifestyle). There must be so many individuals who would love to be able to run, or even walk, but are unable. We owe it to them to make the effort.
Got an email asking me to contact you re lymphoma - not sure if it came from you direct or elsewhere in the forum. Very happy to do so, but it might be most helpful if we had a prior discussion to set the scope of your interest before returning to the forum. Let me know if you would like to speak (not sure how to do it without exchanging personal info on this forum!) I am currently considering starting C25K for the 4th time (following hospitalization), with my lymphoma once again under some degree of control.
Hi Altair2. Thanks for picking up my post. The "Lymphoma" tag was actually a reference to my brother who is currently on a second course of chemotheraphy. The relevance being I feel so lucky not just to be able to run but also to walk. I mentioned I should get a tee shirt with the message "Every run is a gift, every walk is a miracle"
I am so sorry to hear of your situation also but the mear fact you are looking to repeat the C25K is testement to your resiliance and spirit! maybe there should be the C21K for those who have experienced a medical condition that has makes it dificult to exercise.
Please check Dr Steven Hulme on YouTube ref walking, as a precusor to starting to run and the benefits of walking and how important it is we keep moving even when we dont feel up to it.
Tomorrow is one of my run days and I dedicate it to you Altair2. When you do start running take it slow and steady, stop and walk if you need to but if possible please try to run in nature, a wood or a park you will feel much better for it.
Sending you my very best wishes and words of encouragement.
