What is W5R3?

I have googled it and all I see is how hard it is...

week 5 run at a 3% gradient on treadmill

walk 5 miles run 3

Welcome! It’s week 5 run 3 of the couch to 5k programme. Essentially, a twenty minute run at a comfortable pace.

Hello and welcome ...I am not sure if you meant to post this on C25K..?

When did you begin the C25K programme??

I haven't joined the programme - I just wondered what those letters meant. I knew C25K but not the W5 etc

Hi Paul12, way way back in September 2017 when I was surfaceing the Internet and before I started running I came across C25K, I thought it was a training course to run 25 kilometers, of course that is what C25K is NOT, it's a training course to run non stop at a slow pace for 30 minutes, officially 9 weeks but you can take it longer if you wish to, the particular run that you are referring to is to run non stop for 20 minutes as comfortablely as you can, certainly not 5 miles.

As others have said, I think it refers to Week 5 Run 3 of the Couch to 5K programme. It’s a 20 min non-stop run, which often feels like a big leap at the time. Many fear it when they see it coming up but most smash it - and it is often the point at which we actually start seeing ourselves as ‘runners’! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏽🙂

Week 5 - Run 3 is a celebration. It's the 1st time you run for 20mins, solid. (Up to now you've been running intervals).

People look ahead and go 20MINS!!! - I can't do that!

If you trust and stick to the program - you can

It's when you think I might be able to do this running lark? I might even like it!

Not what you're looking for?
