Well on an otherwise sucky day (thanks corporate job) I'm celebrating one good thing - I did my first speed run!
I've been working on consistency and distance for a while, and finally felt brave enough to pop on the trainers at 6.30 this morning and join Coach Bennett for my first speed run.
And it was great!! Really enjoyed the variety, and having something to aim for on the watch as well.
Not really any other purpose for the post than to share my happiness, and try to cheer myself up by writing out something positive.
Wish you all good running for the week!

Another YAY!! for NRC speed runs. I've been running since 2014, but up until recently every run was constant speed C25K podcast or Audiofuel runs. Then a couple of months ago I discovered NRC! It really has boosted my motivation. I really love the mixing of speed runs, fartleks, recovery runs, long runs during the week. It has brought back the enthusiasm that I remember when I did C25K with the lovely Laura. I definitely think that mixing the types of run up is much better than just running at the same speed all of the time. Love the coached runs. I think that is what I miss most after completing C25K.
