I decided to give it two days rest since my last 3k run on Saturday as I’ve still got a slightly tight calf muscle. I missed out on the beautiful warm sunshine yesterday but I knew it was too soon so a very cold and misty morning run (3 degrees). I did lots of dynamic stretches and done yoga before I went hoping for no calf twinges on my run.
I kept slow and steady for 3k when I felt slight pain in my calf so I decided to stop and walk home (walking is fine with no pain at all). I’m wondering whether to risk the Parkrun this Saturday - might try another shorter run on Thursday to see how it goes.

Thanks, yes it did the same here - I thought it was too cold to nip to my allotment but it really warmed up so I washed my greenhouse inside and out in the lovely sunshine.
Yes you’re right, if I feel any twinges at least I’ll have run part way then just walk the rest 👍🏻
I’m desperate to get out running properly (I didn’t think I’d ever say/or type those words) 😆 but I know I need to be patient and sensible too. Thanks 👍🏻🤞🏻
That’s a moodily beautiful run photo. Our village seems to collect fog. Chills you to the bones! Great run for you-really hoping that calf will settle down. Frustrating when you want to go longer but patience now will definitely pay off long term.
