I can’t believe how many of us have been stopped in our tracks by viruses and bugs this last couple of months; we haven’t been able to run as we haven’t felt well enough and when we start to feel better we either get wiped out again by the recurring nasty thing or the weather has not been kind to get out there safely! I was really worried that as a new runner this ‘blip’ might have me giving up but I can definitely say I definitely have the running bug as I couldn’t wait to get out but I just didn’t feel well enough. So yoga and weights on days I felt well enough and then got out weeks later to do a 3k - so hard but I was so happy. I have built up slowly and even did week 1 run 1 of ct5k with my son which I loved - I needed the positivity and encouragement from Sanjay and it was perfect to start off again. I’ve managed 4k, a park run (5k), a 6k on my own (so tough) and then this week I went back to my club and completed 7k which felt great. I’m not back to where I was before I felt poorly - slowly but surely! Could I look any happier? 😆
Back to it ……. Hopefully!: I can’t believe how... - Bridge to 10K
Back to it ……. Hopefully!
You are positively beaming! So glad you’re back. It’s been a rubbish season for illness and injury on here. It’s brilliant that we’re starting to slowly make our way back again. Long may it continue! ❤️
Great stuff, the fitness soon comes back. 💪😀
Well done on being so patient, Dendev75. Splendid update: it's great to see you back and happy! I wish you the best of luck getting to wherever you want to be with your running.
Good perserverance Dendev75, you're right about so many bugs being around the family seem to be forever picking something up ☺️ There's a few people in your club overdoing the sunbeds 😂 😂
What a great photo you look so happy 😊Winter certain throws up more challenges for running, but as you say this year seems to have been worse than normal.
So pleased you can see light at the end of the tunnel now 👍
