Hi Runners

Now....do you ever have one of those days when your head is so crammed full of to do’s, not to do’s and everything else swimming around the universe? 🤯 Well, that was me this morning.

There was no urgent plans or prioritisation needed, but trying to get my head to focus on doing was not going to be too successful. I think it’s called tiredness. In the past, I probably would have wanted to just go back to bed 🛌! Not that I would, but the whole day would just feel pretty shabby! 😕 But I’m armed with my new pick me up....running! 🏃🏾‍♀️ Nothing like a run to clear the fog 🌫 and start again.

So, out I went to the big park this morning. Glad to be outdoors again. It was beautiful green and quiet. Looking around as I slowly ran, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility. No demands, no form, no pace or time, just running 😃. My aim was just to run for 30 minutes in good old C25K fashion! Whatever the stats at that point...... we’re done.👌🏽 And when my 30 minutes was up, well guess what, I thought 💭 “Fabulous you may as well do 5k, because you can”. So....I did!! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️😁😁😁!!

I had a great fun run, back outdoors and loved each and every minute of it! It’s not a time PB by any means, but I do feel I’ve had a different kind of PB in turning around what could have been a bit of a rubbish day!! 🤺🤺🤺🤺🤣🤣🤩

Although there’s still lots to do. Nothing is urgent. No one will die and sometimes you have to acknowledge to yourself when you’re spreading yourself too thin! 🤓

I’ve almost done my bit for the day now. 👌🏽 I’m going to get into my PJs and have a cosy evening in!! 🤩

Coincidence. I ran the same distance at around the same pace as you this morning - just a relaxing jog, and very nice too. Even popped into our local Chinese restaurant half way round to book a table for the weekend. Nice not to be chasing PBs sometimes.

It’s amazing how going for a run clears the head.

I’ve found it so useful to get out on an evening run and forget about the stresses of the day. I’m weirdly enjoying running in the cold and dark 🤔

Brilliant. I did the same today. .. Just went to practice the park run hills and had a lovely slow run in the sunshine!! Loved it. No pressure. 👟👟😁
