At my team meeting today. ...

Amongst all the waffle and secret Santa stuff we were asked if we had any ideas for next year, well after not doing Christmas fete due to COVID the last few years our amenity fund is looking a bit sad, so some bright spark suggested we run or walk a 5k in early summer and raise some money , that idea went down like a lead balloon at first but after some discussion a few people said they would be up for that so looks like that bright spark needs to work out where to go, work out when to go, make flyers and find ways of finding a couple of sponsors... .. daft woman, That bright spark was me...... Where do these ideas come from??

I'll fit it in, I'll make a big flyer, this might teach them next year when I ask for people to take the lead in the Christmas fete that if no one does it I'll make them run or walk lol 🤣

I’m sure you’ll do a brilliant job. I sometimes find that at least if I’m organising something, although it’s work for me, that’s better than getting annoyed at someone else doing a poor job of it! Hopefully it will be straightforward and a great event. Do you think you’ll be able to delegate any of the admin tasks once you’ve got the key details straight?

The admin will be easy, it'll be getting people to turn up and getting a couple of sponsors each that might be the difficult part, but I'll have fun trying

There’s plenty of time to build up gradually for a summer event. Also, it’s fun being the ‘bright spark’ 😆.
