Thursday evening is when I go for a run with my running club. Usually we just run around the village, but tonight was the annual (and my first) Christmas lights run round the lovely city of Lincoln. Just goes to show how often I go into town, but I didn’t have any idea just how beautiful the display is.
Anyway, we met up at the leisure centre where the 10k begins and ran towards the Castle, then down the hill to Brayford Wharf, round St Mark’s Square, up High Street. Then we walked up Steep Hill, round the Cathedral and finally back to the leisure centre. 7k at an average 7.43 mins/km, lots of photo stops and time to chat. Lovely 😊

Apparently they do it every year (I only joined in March this year) and everybody said how much they’d looked forward to it. The late night shoppers were slightly bemused by 30 odd runners heading up the High Street though 😂😂
What a lovely way to spend your evening Sandie1961 ! Fab photos. Did you have a group warm up before your run? I once suffered a nasty injury on a very cold autumnal night as I didn't warm up properly
Lovely lights and photos Sandie1961. I went with my daughter's running club last week and we had a Christmas photo outside a well Christmassy house, unfortunately she had not double checked the backdrop and we were all stood in front of the house next door to it with not one solitary light on 😂😂😂
