I can't believe I'm writing this. I have just come back from completing my very first 10K after following JuJu's Magic plan. All I can say is the plan works!

I don't think I will push distances any further but I will try and maintain what I have achieved

Well done, I've managed 60 minutes on the plan but yet to get to 10km. I'm aiming for an anniversary run in March 23.

Congratulations on your first 10k @Leotigris! It's definitely an achievement to celebrate.

As for not pushing distances any further, that's entirely your choice. But you wouldn't be the first who's said that and ended up going much, much further than they ever expected!

As someone who marvelled at people who did 10km a couple of years ago, I said much the same myself when I got to 10km back in February 2021.

It didn't take long for me to extend beyond that distance. And a few months afterwards, my 10km time dropped below an hour for the first time.

In September 2021 I did my first Half Marathon distance and after doing that 10km felt like a "nice stretch of the legs". 🤣

fantastic, well done 🏅🥂🎉 what a great achievement!

Is there an app for this plan as the couch to 5K? I keep contemplating trying it but getting a bit old and slower than ever!

Enjoy your celebration

Thanks swim63!

It's definitely worth a try. I was 63 when I started couch to 5K and I am 64 now so I'm sure you will be fine.

There's no app (as far as I am aware) but there is a printed plan (well, 2 actually - the first is time based and takes you to 60 mins running and the 2nd is distance based getting you to 10K). I started off with the time based programme and followed it up with the distance version.

Brilliant, thank you. I was also 63 when I did couch to 5K , 65 now. Have been running on and off for the past 2, years and really need to get my act together

I think I will do what you did, time plan first followed by distance.

Thank you and well done again 😊

Congratulations! It’s an amazing plan, well done! I’ve only done two 10k runs since the plan and I was due to do a 10k race this Sunday but I have a full blown head cold which if it doesn’t shift I won’t be doing 🤞🏻hoping it’s gone so I can have a go. Good luck with your running journey ☺️
