Tim's Run .... Shropshire

Well I have been fighting off a cold the last few days which actually started on the evening of my last run !

But I was determined to get out today and run for the irreplaceable 'iannoda truffe' aka Tim 😊

As he was for many others , Tim was a great help and inspiration to me when I decided to tackle Couch to 5k at the age of 63 having never run before in my life !

His encouragement, advice and yes, the occasional stern warning have all helped me along the way .

And his very warm welcome and helpful support when I joined the Admin team.

It has been a privilege to be on the team beside him , and his legacy shall live on !

This was my first 5k run for 5 Months !

The last one was back in June !

I have been building up again slowly and in fact was going to stop at 4k today .

BUT

As 4k arrived, I heard those encouraging words that Tim famously finished his posts with 'keep running, keep smiling'

So I did .... Slowly of course but managed to get a 5k done again .

Thank you Tim .

.... I will (I do) miss you so much πŸ’™

So fantastic that you were able to run for Tim - and channel his advice as you ran. He is certainly missed but his words - challenging and supportive - will live on in all of us. I often have moments when I do something ridiculous on a run and think about what Tim would have said about it πŸ™ˆ
