The weather was so changeable today but I managed to find a break in the rain and got out late afternoon before it got dark.
I picked a different route to avoid too much mud along the path. I managed a nice steady pace and, helped with some good music, ran for 28 minutes, followed by a 7 min walk to cool down. I remembered to ‘keep smiling’ and tried to follow advice about not going too fast or worrying about speed/ distance!
A step closer to the park run on Saturday 😁😁, let’s hope it’s dry!

well done - keep following the good advice and good luck for Parkrun. I’m back on this after some time away and hopefully will be back up to do Parkrun again in a few weeks.
A great update to read! Really good luck for your first parkrun. It’s easy to get caught up in the atmosphere and go a bit fast-just be aware of that so you don’t do yourself a mischief! Can’t wait for the report! 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️
Yesterday I joined health unlocked/AF area and today figured it out well enough to search for what I am currently interested in which is running with a fib and sotalol.
But I kept the search simple and only use the word running.
I was happy to find your post, and the replies of others right away, who are including running in their lives, even though they have complications of a fib.
I had to laugh out loud at the comment made by oldmanrunning about screen names, possibly giving away peoples ages.
my screen name doesn’t reflect it, but I am what many people would consider an old man at age 76. And I have a long white beard which I’m going to keep because when I go out running, people wave at me because they can recognize me from a long distance away.
… at any rate, if anybody reading this or the other replies is also a runner who is continuing to run with a fib, and who is also taking sotalol, (which I started on only today)… Please share what you feel inclined to share.
I’ve been doing daily running, or some other somewhat equivalent aerobic activity since 1971 and it’s something I’m addicted to not only for health but for emotional benefit.
