Charity Run 5k

have been struggling all summer to rebuild my strength up for regular 5k runs.

This evening we had our annual work Charity Run with over 4000 people running . I signed up for the 5k and managed it nicely. Our employer contributed to charity for every km we ran,so good on them.

The course was around the airport, so very flat (planes and terrain are not compatible)

So I'm feeling pretty contented this evening. My aim is to build up my resilience and push slowlyup towards 10k over the winter.

keeeeep running

Airbus, by any chance?

It's been tough this summer in dept 43 too, though probably a couple of degrees lower than what you were experiencing. Weather's still unsettled - it's been in the mid-20s this week - but starting to cool off properly. Hoping the épisodes méditerranéens stay away!

Happy running!

yes, Airbus. I'm not a corporate person, but hats off to the employer, they got it totally right. We ran around the airfield under the wings of the parked aircraft.

Wow, dept 43 must have some amazing landscape for running and walking. Unfortunately here, doet 31 is a bit monotonous with flat farmland. If I can get some petrol I'll head out to the Montagne Noire, the Pyrenean foothills or the Mediterranean coast for some landscape.
