In praise of compression

I am mostly a reader not a poster but under the category of For what it’s worth. I thought I would note the benefits I have found by using some compression garments.

First it was some tights for recovery after long runs. That seemed to work well.

Then some compression socks for after shorter runs when returning to work in tights seemed off the table

And now I have tried calf guards and they are great too

So if you haven’t already tried them based on my experiences I highly recommend any and all compression wear. It has all worked a treat for me and my legs feel much less tired

A little pressure does you good sometimes 😀

I have some bright pink calf compression thingies which are really helpful from time to time. The first time I wore them, I felt like such a proper runner! 😊

I discovered some in an unopened Amazon packet the other day; forgotten I'd bought them. Must give them a try. 👍

I've never used compression socks but do have a pair of calf compression sleeves. They definitely seem to help with muscle fatigue and aid recovery on longer runs

So you put compression socks on after the run? That’s interesting, my OH wears them during the run and rolls them down afterwards . It seems to help both ways.
