A nice 13 KM run

Yesterday morning at 8am I met up with a parkrun friend called Rachel and was introduced to another lady called AnneMarie. We decided to do two large loops estimating them to be 13-14 KM. There were some others who went out 30 minutes earlier and were doing a Half Marathon distance. So Rachel, AnneMarie and I headed off on our run. It was a perfect pace for me at around a 6:50 min/km pace and I really enjoyed the company. It felt so good running with someone else, especially for the longer runs. We did not chat too much but kept each other going. I was so happy when we finished to have done the full 13K without any walking breaks. As we came in at the end we were joined by a few more whom had done longer distances and following this we went to a local fuel station where we sat in and had a coffee and chat together. I will enjoy my rest day today by taking our dog out for a walk later after work. Happy Running.

13km is excellent damienair. Well done you. It sounds like running together was good for you all, and all the better for a post run beverage. 🏃‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

Congratulations to you Damien on completing that 13K run non stop without needing to walk, well done, nice you had company for the run, enjoy taking Ruby your dog a walk later in the day.

At this very moment I am on a bus at Dunfermline bus station after visiting St Andrews where I went a 4K walk along the sea shore, of course the next time that I'll be in Dunfermline is this coming Saturday when I will be running my 50th parkrun.

Oh brilliant Alan, your doing your 50th parkrun a week earlier than you originally thought. Fantastic.

It's to coincide with Dunfermline Parkruns 7th birthday which is July the 4th, but that's a Monday, I thought they would celebrate it on Saturday 9th July but the birthday is this week, Saturday 2nd July.
