Just a pleasant little 3K recovery run

this morning before work.

I'd had a much better night's sleep last night and felt much more like a run today .

And the weather was also good at 8 degrees and a light breeze.

So definitely shorts and t-shirt .

I was aching a little from yesterday's James Dunne 30 day challenge (I'm on day 7) so it really was a recovery run !

But I could actually feel a difference after 7 days , I feel im running looser and maybe even a little stronger although it's still early days .

I actually set off quicker than I was intending !

And had to back off a little after 1km.

Not talking big differences , but they don't need to be big to make a difference, and similarly on the last Km so I ended up with a positive split run !

That's fine as long as I knew I had enough to finish .

My Quads are aching a bit from this run but that's probably due to the squats on the JD challenge .

So back home , stretches done and porridge made .

Oh, and a BIG mug of tea 😁

Happy Running!

Sounds just the ticket today Ian! Well done. Good splits and a big cup of tea - can’t beat it 😊.

Brilliant! I'm still trying to find the energy to go out today, these antihistamines make me so groggy! It sounds like the JD challenge is starting to show its effects πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Nice ! I have run envy! This covid is not much fun. Maybe I'll try a gentle walk/run in about a week!

Today is the first day I don't feel exhausted! It's on the way out though and I understand it isn't unusual for fatigue to hang about for a while. I'm sure I'll be back to normal very soon!
