Another 3K on route to a gentle recovery

So this was my 3rd 3K run on my recovery from almost 2 months of sinus problems 2 courses of antibiotics and now a steroid spray .

This has really taken it out of me and I am very concious that my aerobic fitness (and no doubt resistance to injury) has suffered.

I am feeling that the sinus situation is now on the right path and i now need to make sure that my running is also, hence the 'Taking it easy'

I went out around 08:30 after the mad school rush .

It was around 6 degrees with a light 'Mizzle'

I decided to do the NRC 3k run.

Happy to say that it felt a little easier than the last one with no problems to note.

I will see how I feel on the next one , I might increase the distance a little on one of the next 3 but as have already said , there is no rush , just happy for now to be getting out again !

Stretches done , porridge eaten and now for the shower 😁

Happy running!

Good plan to go gently, rather than push yourself and feel discouraged! Good luck and glad to hear you're recovering.

That's fantastic news πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ so great that things are moving in the right direction for you. Hopefully the steroid spray will help keep your sinuses in check and you'll soon be building up to where you were beforeπŸ‘

Sinus problems are the pits. If you haven’t tried it, I’d strongly recommend seeing a cranial osteopath. It’s non invasive and very gentle and can make an amazing difference. Must be an osteopath with additional qualifications for cranial work. All the best.
