Well I promised myself yesterday that today was the day. Having had grandchildren over the weekend I gave myself a day off (again). 2 year old grandson has tonsillitis again so the weekend wasnโ€™t easy. I woke at 6-30 and had a sore throat but thought that the fresh air would sort it ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ however after the first 5 minutes I knew Iโ€™d made a mistake I felt rough, heavy legged and my throat was sore I ploughed on decided to do a bit of jeffing along my usual route. Was out for 25 minutes but only probably ran for 10-15 minutes. But at least now I feel like Iโ€™ve been out for a run. ๐Ÿคžmy sore throat disappears before the weekend so the other grandchildren can come up for Easter. ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฃ

Get better soon and remember to look after you as well as the grands, tonsillitis is quite infectious, and hey you got out, thatโ€™s a huge success

Yes it is daughter and son in law got it as well as grandson. So it was a foregone conclusion that I ended up with it too

I guess it's viral rather than bacterial?

I ask because I had viral tonsilitis many times as a child. Then a few years ago I got tonsilitis, but the symptoms were different and I self diagnosed it as bacterial. Drove to my nearest Urgent Care facility, they confirmed it was bacterial, gave me a script for antibiotics, and within 15 minutes of taking those pills I was on the mend.

Yes I think it probably is. Just hope it clears for next week.
