As ever I’m a bit slow in posting, Dexy went out later than me but she’s already done hers! Oops! Today was going to be Strava art day because I need to start ticking off the boxes. I leave it to you to decide if my map looks like what I wanted it to be! One side is good, the other, not quite so! I may try again! The Dambusters Theme came on my music shuffle while I was on the next part of my run which isn’t very festive (😀) so I turned it off and did some gentle carolling instead. It was a bit quiet which all the people on the seafront will have appreciated but Jingle Bells was OK; it came on to rain during Oh Holy Night, I couldn’t quite manage the descant on Oh Come All Ye Faithful and I ran out of puff in Once In Royal David’s City but it wasn’t a bad effort! So a couple of bingo boxes ticked and an awfully slow 8.25km done. Happy weekend running folks!

A bit of a festive Friday
Looks like a brilliant Christmas tree 🎄 to me! Fab effort! 👏🏻👏🏻😂
Well I’d say it looks just as uneven as every real Xmas tree is (at least in my experience). So very naturalistic. Great work of art, Oldgirlruns!
Wow, that Christmas 🎄 is amazing! Good on you for the effort involved!😄
That sounds such a good festive time and your strava art is great, I haven’t run since um, oh dear it might be over a week or a week today so hoping for a good run tomorrow then may have a go at the art on sunday, Have a good weekend
You’re running on consecutive days? That’s brave of you! But good luck with the festive art - I picked something I thought would be easy and as the path I was on was tree lined, I had some markers to use for it (though one side went a bit wonky!).
We rarely run on consecutive days but been running over 18 months now so as long as one of them is short and slow it’s ok, so saturday speed run and run as far as i can as it’s been cold dark and late every day when i’ve got home from work this week, an example, today, shift finished at 3 and at 4.10 one of my ladies wanted to facetime her sister, i finally got her off my phone and home about 5 by which time the urge to run had passed We have a funeral next week my boss is on leave until then and the last thing she said to me was could i write a poem for the funeral? for goodness sake
Beautiful Christmas tree Oldgirlruns. I love how its all colourful👏👏🎄🎄
Wow I love your Xmas tree it's really good, I bet you had fun running it. Carol singing at well 🎶☃️🎄A good bingo run 😊
Hang on, just going to put my glasses on.That's better.
Yeah that's much er... hmm...er, yeah...
Very impressive OGR! I spot Southsea Common?😀
Brilliant Christmas tree, I love the way you varied your speed to give you a colourful tree. My garmin says my 7:15/km speed is blue, never get any other colour. My reindeer art run yesterday averaged 6:33/km fastest 6:17/km - yep, still all blue🙁. Amazed you were able to sing all those Carols, really impressed, I had a bit of a go at white Christmas today but my heart wasn’t in it. Happy running 🤗
An excellent piece of Strava art Oldgirlruns, and you can always blame the 2nd side on the gps! The colours make it look like the Christmas lights are on too. Well done for singing Christmas carols without the music. 🎵🎶🎵🎶An excellent run all round I’d say. 🎄🎅🏻🤶🎵🎶🎵🔔
Thanks Dexy - what am I doing here? !
Thats a nice Christmas Tree and a wonderful work of GPS Art, well done, I might have a try at that by walking up and down a large park very near to where I live, it would be a Xmas tree 🎄 I 'll see how it goes. 😊 🏃🏾
Thanks Alan! It did help that the path I was on has trees spaced at regular intervals all along it so I was able to use them focus on where I wanted to get back to. A certain number of steps straight out, then back at an angle to a tree . It seems to have worked quite well on one side of the tree but the other side was a bit wobbly! But that’s Christmas trees for you!
Update, OGR, I am just back from my 26th (not) parkrun, I am having a coffee and a Mince Pie, I wore my Santa Hat and Reindeer Christmas Jumper, so I looked very festive, I'll see if I can get my neighbour to take a photo of me later with his dog Holly who I take a walk regularly.
I recognise the paths and therefore deduce you were drawing patterns on the grass. Hope it wasn’t too wet.
👏👍🏽🤩
Super Christmas tree, love it!🏃♀️🎄 here is a ⭐for the top!🤗xxx
Well I think that’s quite brilliant 🎄🎄🎄🎄 I’m a little scared to attempt Strava art 😂😂Sounds like a very festive run and I can only aspire to such a distance .
Well done on the vocals too 🎶👼🎶
I get a bit ‘teary’ with Once in Royal David’s City 😂🥲 so I would look a bit more of a demented jogger than usual .
No use at the descant either 🤷🏼♀️ But I was enthusiastic at the bits I could do, we did the Adeste Fideles version at school........ sigh 😌 pure nostalgia 👼
What an excellent Christmas Tree Ogr, I'm very impressed. I'm definitely going to have to try again as mine wasn't very good! And some Christmas singing too, those ticks are coming along nicely now ✅✅🎅🤶🦌🎄⛄
