Bit of a dilemma

Following my 10k run today I needed to re-fuel. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Mrs RfJ left a box of Dairy Milk on the kitchen table.

Sadly, somehow the top layer has vanished. I'm not too sure what to do.

Do I "fess up" and admit to such a crime or indulge further, enjoy the bottom layer as well and simply buy a new box before 5pm.

I'm thinking the second option is far better 🤣🤣🤣

Ha! The HUNGER strikes 👹 . Finish the box, fess up, AND buy a new box...If it makes you 🤮 then you won't do it again, and if you enjoy it and want more? Well you'll have a new 🍫ready and waiting 😂

It was really strange. I was munching my way through the box like I was possessed!!

I think Delly Dot said something about a drop in sugar level but I have no idea what that is.

Is it normal to have these Hunger bursts after a long run? If so I need to invest in a big box of roast chicken crisps in preparedness!!

Yes, my understanding that this insatiable hunger is common as you increase distance. The trick is to stock up on healthy, protein rich snacks for when the hunger strikes. There have been some helpful nutrition posts on here, maybe someone else can be point you in the right direction...🤔I always prepare a chocolate milk to drink immediately after I finish a run, which seems to help, and have a stock of nuts, dates and bananas in case I get a serious hunger craving 👹. Oh, and a bar of 85% dark chocolate in the fridge just in case - not nearly as bingeable as dairy milk, and you can almost convince yourself that you are being virtuous 😇😅

Oh dear me. It looks like I need to do research then as clearly chocolates, kebabs and crisps aren't going to be the answer 😢😢😢

🤣

😂 I'd say buy 2 boxes and keep one hidden for next time!

Say you thought it as a belated Valentines Day pressie! 😀😋

in reply toBirdlady64

It was actually a Valentines pressie. Sadly eaten by me. Unfortunately I couldn't manage the whole second layer and didn't want to discard the remaining choccies in order to introduce a newly purchased box so ended up doing the right thing - and fessing up ....... Mrs RfJ not particularly impressed.

I done 10k though 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well as I’m reading this now, post Valentine’s Day, I’ve also read that you confessed! Very funny. At least now you know that you fall victim to a sugar dive after a 10k and can be organised, stock up on the chocolate (preferably your own) and feel guilt free next time. 😆

It was very strange. I just couldn't stop 😁. Maybe this running thing is actually bad for me 🤣🤣

I really was so desperate for snacks. Blimey. Serious question, is this normal after a long run?

Yes! In my experience this has been the case. I'm hungry for the rest of the day after a ling run!

in reply toRoxdog

Thats not particularly good news for me Roxdog lol. I ended up eating all day ........ and I love my food. Yikes !
