Well two things one reasonable and the other daft.
Reasonable, purchased a pair of hoka carbon x 2
Daft because I have a pair of race shoes I have to have a race. I have registered for the Run Frimley 10k on the 1st of May which is my 75th Birthday. Anyone else in the group in the race? Lots of elevation gain, 17 m in the first 0.6k.....aaaaaaaa not to mention the rest of the first 5k, down hill or flat with a few small bumps mostly till 10k. So if I can survive the first 5k I should be Ok.

You can always walk the uphills if you're concerned about them hamit . Either that, or try to get in some practice running or jogging on slopes before the day. Either way, enjoy!
Thanks Cmol, have included some Hill training into my 10k training plan. I plan to do some training on a 0.6 k hill with an elevation gain of 25 meters. I find starting again after a walk a problem rather keep going even if slow.
Thanks Heavyfoot, well it was a Cruise for the Birthday or the race but I chose the safer option....hhhhhh Vaporflys perhaps thats next year. One things for sure I will be wearing my ,,,,If i collapse please pause my watch T shirt,,,😀
