So week 1 had me all over the place with my routine gone to pot due to a more relaxed approach that clearly doesn’t work for me, but this week I’m back on track, run 1 was the morning of Storm Barra which literally hit me in the face on my return run and forced an early finish, because I couldn’t run the last 5 minutes it was so rough. Run 2 this morning, up early and out so had given myself plenty of time and I managed a 35 minute run plus the two 5 minute warm up and cool down walks covering 6K (3.86 miles), this means that I’ve officially run my first 5K. I knew I was within striking distance and just needed that extra few minutes to achieve it, so pleased I’ve done it! 😊 it feels great! 🥳🥳🥳

Really well done on getting out there and getting that 5k under your belt. Post graduation can be quite challenging for some without the couch routine but, you will soon be putting together your own routines and also modifying them as you reach your personal goals and targets.

Yes, another goal achieved, now I feel like I’ve really done the couch 2 5K program

Yay well done! 🥳 It took me ages to get to 5k after graduation. That's amazing and a great time too 💪👏👏👏

Thank you, it feels amazing! Hoping the weather is a like kinder soon though. I run at the shoreline of the Irish Sea, and it’s been ’Baltic’ lately 🥶🥶🥶

I feel you! I also live by the sea (SE England), it's not so much the temperature itself but the wind chill 🥶🥶

5k!!!! Woohooo! Nice one! The world of Parkrun routes has suddenly opened up! (I’ve never been to one, but love the idea and have run several Parkrun routes)

Maybe, but I think I’ll leave it until spring time and do it in nicer weather 🤣🤣🤣
